About
After graduating magna cum laude from Chicago-Kent College of Law, I spent 12 years as an attorney and sports agent at two of the world's premier sports and entertainment firms negotiating contracts, advocating in salary arbitration, structuring endorsement deals, and helping athletes navigate the complex legal and financial decisions that shape their careers and their futures. That work took me inside some of the highest-stakes moments in professional sports, and gave me a front-row seat to what it truly means to protect what someone has built, on the field, and in life.
Those same principles that guide sound planning for professional athletes apply to every family that wants to be intentional about their future. Estate planning isn't just about documents. It's about making sure the people you love are protected and that your wishes are honored, no matter what life brings.
As a husband and father myself, that's not just something I counsel clients on, it's something I think about personally. I understand the responsibility that comes with building a family and wanting to get it right. That shared perspective shapes the way I approach every client relationship.
“Protecting what you’ve built on the field and in life requires thoughtful planning, clear guidance, and a commitment to the people who matter most.”
At Bertholomey Law, I work closely with families, athletes, and sports professionals to deliver thoughtful, personalized legal counsel, because your situation is unique and your plan should be too.
